Welcome to 30 Days of Hygge, Day 18!
I love making things for people. Every few years I get the idea to hand make all of my Christmas presents, and as long as I decide this sometime in late October (rather than the second week of December), I’m always glad to do it.
My mom (hi mom! I know you read these every day!) has been crafting for as long as I can remember. My grandmother did, too. I remember making wreaths out of things I found in the woods as a kid, as well as tons of other craft projects. I was always borrowing books from the library about one type of craft or another, and I think I still have a set of craft books from the 70s that I swiped from my mom in storage somewhere (at least I hope I still do!).
So today, head on over to Pinterest (you can check out my DIY board here!) and see what you can come up with for something to make for a loved one. It’s a great way to show someone you care without having to break the bank. And a homemade gift is often more appreciated in the long run than the latest trend you picked up for $20 at the mall.
